I have just been on the flight center website and their Grand Final packages are on sale until today, what happens if they don’t sell them all? are there empty seats at the ground that should have gone to members?

Probably, there will be a lot of empty seats anyway, and that is one reason. Some companies give them to the Salvos to sell at the ground.
Any AFL members reading this, make sure you have your membership card AND a photo ID (Driving licence) to get into the AFL members reserve, otherwise you won’t get in!
EDIT: Well with 100,072 in attendance, no wonder there were no tickets available. If you saw empty seats anywere it was because some people, despite paying the full price for a seat, preferred to stand in the standing areas, with limited view, in order to get to the bars easier, drink themselves stupid, and get thrown out before the game finished!
