I am flying from London to Glasgow I am guessing it is a domestic flight with no requirement to clear immigration/customs. When I fly out of Glasgow via London to Australia with an 8 hour stopover where will a clear customs/immigration and will the departure tax be included in my air ticket?

I bought an eye gel mask at the Body-shop (the bigger one). However I am not sure whether I can take it with me two weeks after when I travel at international flight as it is a GEL mask. Does anyone know ? Thanks
