I'm not surprised the tickets were cheap, but alas, there is many things you occupy yourself with. When I fly and have a really long layover until my connecting flight I usually make sure I have my iPod with me, so that I can listen to music. There should be plenty of places to eat, so take some time to have a coffee and some breakfast or whatever. There will be a newsagent type store which sells books, magazines, crossword books and newspapers which you chould buy to spend some time. Bringing a laptop is a good idea, but make sure to keep an eye on all your stuff. I wouldn't recommend sleeping, because that puts you and your luggage at risk. You could have a walk around the airport and check it out or have a look around the shops. Ugh, that sucks.
