Can you still take cabin luggage on international flights out of perth?

Hi
I’m a little confused, the travel agent gave us two plastic bags to put our belongings in for the flight from Perth to Bali, yet last year when we flew from Sydney to Samoa we took absolutely everything on board with us, 2 bags, laptops, backpack the lot?
Has anyone flown from Perth to Bali lately and what could you take on board?

Who are you flying with? I haven’t heard of any airline preventing you from having carry on. It is often limited, but at least 1 bag is acceptable I would have thought.
    Have a good trip.

Due to increased security you must now carry all liquids on all Aussie international flights in the plastic bag and carry it seperately so it can be clearly seen at the security inspection. The liquids must be in bottles of 100ml or less (eg deodorant, contact lens solution etc). The website for the airline you are flying will have a section explaining the details. It is to prevent liquid explosives being carried on-board. You can still take your other cabin baggage.
